Chris over at chris123nt.com has posted an article about what is causing this and how to fix it.  I myself have had this issue.  I was trying to install the new OCS 2007 R2 clients and the Windows Installer kept crashing on me.  I figured it must have been due to an incompatibility between the new clients and Windows 7 but I applied Chris’s fix and now they install perfectly.  So, when you run into this issue (as I am sure many have already) use this fix to get back up and running!
